Indiandribble launches period box to improve equity in the workplace
Indiandribble joins other organisations with the introduction of a period box in the office. They do so to take menstruation out of the taboo and in the process highlight the global issue of menstrual poverty, both internally and with their clients.

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - 8 march 2023
Indiandribble has announced the implementation of a period box on International Women's Day, following the example of organisations like Odisee, Kaaitheater, and many others. The box is a collection of essential menstrual hygiene products that will be available to those who need it, including colleagues, interns, and guests, to promote equity in the workplace and raise awareness on the issue of period poverty.
As a company committed to equity and not just equality, Indiandribble hopes that this initiative will amplify the discussion about the importance of providing resources and support that address the needs of different people. The company acknowledges that the period box is not a solution to sexism or other forms of discrimination in the workplace. It is an example of how companies can work towards equity.
“We recognize that there are already many fantastic organisations out there doing incredible work in this space, and we want to amplify their message. Our goal is to help normalise the concept of a period box, much like an emergency first aid kit and make it a part of everyday life for people everywhere.”
Equality means treating everyone the same, regardless of their circumstances. Equity, on the other hand, means recognizing that different people have different needs and working to provide resources and support that address those needs.
"We are committed to making our workplace more diverse and equitable for all colleagues, and the period box is just one example of our commitment," said Roel Verhavert, Indiandribble's Managing Director. "We hope this initiative will spark a discussion about equity in the workplace and inspire other companies to take similar steps."
In addition to the period box, Indiandribble supports BruZelle, a Brussels-based non-profit organisation that raises awareness and educates on menstrual health and period poverty. They also hand out bags containing essential hygiene products free of charge to people who need them. Indiandribble donated a rounded-up sum of €500 in the name of all their clients to support the great work that BruZelle does.
On this Women's Day, Indiandribble wants to remind people that we all have a role to play in creating a more inclusive and equitable world. The company hopes to inspire others and let them reflect on how to take steps towards creating a diverse and equitable workplace, not just on Women's Day but every day.
